Some may simply look at these events as an excuse to have a party but there’s more to it than that. First and foremost, we believe honouring our pioneers and celebrating our Portuguese heritage deserves a big party. We want everyone in the country to know we are here and we are proud Portuguese-Canadians. Second, and just as important is our partnership with the Magellan Community Foundation. Proceeds from this event will be donated to this much overdue project—building a long-term care home for Portuguese speaking seniors. It’s a classic win-win.
Simply put, to host an event of this magnitude, takes money—lots and lots of money, and because of that, we are offering sponsorship opportunities.
